And the Sunshine did abandon the Sunshine state

As is typically the case whenever I travel, a place maybe experiencing the driest dry spell ever in it's history, but within 24 hours of my arrival in that place - a torrential downpour begins. And so it happened again on a recent biz trip to Florida - though I did snap a few shots of Fort Lauderdale (while driving, of course) where there were a few last glimpses of sunlight. I did a lot of driving this trip, not just the usual getting lost in Miami because, for the love of god, people there do not believe in marking the streets!!! But also a lot of highway driving from city to city. I was reintroduced to the world of terrible tolls on the way to Orlando, and got to see a different side of Florida when I made my way up to Jacksonville. The boots that I have been in search of for months were finally purchased in the country's oldest city, St.Augustine, go figure!

Ft Lauderdale: My final glimpse of the sun for the rest of the week.

And the mean clouds are building in Miami

Jacksonville has seen days with more sun
